QDB & KAHRAMAA Organize the 3rd Forum of Buy Local Products

 

Qatar Development Bank (QDB), in collaboration with Qatar General Electricity & Water Corporation “KAHRAMAA”, have organized the 3rd edition of “Buy Local Products Forum” in order to support and localize businesses in electricity and water sectors. The event takes place at Doha Exhibition and Convention Center – DECC and lasts for two days. 

The forum has been attended by H.E Dr. Mohammed Bin Saleh Al-Sada, Minister of Energy & Industry, Mr. Abdulaziz Bin Nasser Al-Khalifa, Chief Executive Officer of Qatar Development Bank, H.E Eng. Essa bin Hilal Al-Kuwari, President of Qatar General Electricity & Water Corporation “KAHRAMAA”, Mr. Abdulla Bin Hamad Al-Attiya, Deputy President of the Public Works Authority, and a number of officials, business owners, suppliers, local manufacturers and businessmen.
The forum was opened by a speech of H.E Eng. Essa bin Hilal Al-Kuwari, KAHRAMAA President, followed by a word of Mr. Abdulaziz Bin Nasser Al-Khalifa, Chief Executive Officer of Qatar Development Bank. The first day of the forum witnessed a presentation about Qatar General Electricity & Water Corporation “KAHRAMAA” for businessmen to identify them of the most important equipment and supplies needs for electricity and water networks. The event included a tour around the exhibition of the forum which is participated by more than sixty operating companies in electricity and water sectors.
In this occasion, Mr. Abdulaziz Bin Nasser Al-Khalifa, Chief Executive Officer of Qatar Development Bank, said: “We are inspired by the speech of His Excellency Sheikh Tamim Bin Hamad Al-Thani, Emir of the State of Qatar, that mentioned the necessity of achieving independent economic that cope with supporting and developing small and medium projects. Therefore, we are pleased at Qatar Development Bank to corporate with KAHRAMAA and devote our efforts through the 3rd exhibition of (Buy Local Products) to contribute in localizing supplies; where the success of the first and second exhibition was a motivation to promote companies at electricity, water and recycling sectors. Qatar Development Bank will continuously work to achieve self-sufficiency from local products in Qatari private sector to attain the desired economic diversification.”       
The second day of the forum shall include a workshop to identify technical standards needed to be a member of qualified suppliers list for the Corporation’s tenders and operations. Another workshop will be presented by QDB to identify types of financial and technical support provided to local companies. Moreover, the participated local companies will present their experiences in field of electricity and water sectors.   
It’s worth mentioning that KAHRAMAA has signed an agreement with QDB to support and localize businesses for electricity and water sectors to raise abilities and efficiencies of Qatari companies. The agreement also contains qualifying those companies to participate in economic exhibitions and forums to reach technical standards needed to join in qualified suppliers list for the operations and tenders related to Qatar General Electricity & Water Corporation “KAHRAMAA”.

​يعمل مركز اتصالات كهرماء لتزويدك بمعلومات عامة تتعلق بدفع فواتيرك، والتوصيلات الجديدة والحالية، ويعمل المركز على مدار الساعة للاستجابة لطوارئ الكهرباء والمياه. يمكنك الإبلاغ عن أي مشكلة أو عارض و تتبع إجراءات الاستجابة.
يطبق  مركز الاتصال 991 نظام نظام الرد التفاعلي (IVR)، ليساعدك على تقليل وقت الإنتظار على الهاتف والتحدث مع مشغل البدالة. ويجب أن يكون رقم الكهرباء والمياه في المتناول ليمكنك استخدامه أثناء الاتصال. ويعمل موظفو خدمات المشتركين في خدمتكم خلال ساعات الدوام من السبت إلى الخميس من كل أسبوع.
