Qatar General Electricity & Water Corporation “KAHRAMAA” held two workshops at KAHRAMAA main building for authorized electrical contractors on application requirements and procedures of electricity connection to livestock farms (ezab).
The workshops were attended by a number of authorized electrical contractors who were reviewed a detailed presentation about the conditions and procedures of online application of electricity connection to livestock farms (ezab) by KAHRAMAA officials form Customer Services and Information Technology Departments. The online application of connection requests starts on 8th August 2018 via KAHRAMAA website.
Applications are submitted online via KAHRAMAA website where the authorized contractor applies after ensuring all technical requirements are observed and internal wirings are installed as per KAHRAMAA standards. The contractor can track the request online until feed payment and connection completion.
The workshops aim at educating the authorized contractors on the requirements of online application of electricity connection requests to ezab. KAHRAMAA officials answered all contractors’ inquiries about connection and application. For the electricity connection request to be accepted, the livestock farm should have water connection. Otherwise, both electricity and water connection requests can be submitted.

Customers and ezab owners can find authorized electrical contractors list on KAHRAMAA website km.qa. KAHRAMAA has recently announced that it would start receiving applications for electricity connection to ezab as of 8th August in 6 livestock farm complexes including more than 5000 blocks through different substations costing QR250 m.
