KAHRAMAA launches Ramadan campaign

Qatar General Electricity and Water Corporation “KAHRAMAA” has launched the
second edition of its popular Ramadan Campaign “Getting Closer” as part of the Corporate
Social Responsibility (CSR) program, which includes many awareness and
educational activities during Ramadan.
The campaign includes “Think with Tarsheed” Competition being organized
through the National Program for Conservation and Energy Efficiency “Tarsheed”.
It will be broadcast on Qatar TV, KAHRAMAA and Tarsheed social media channels
during the month. The competition aims at educating all categories of society
about conservation methods and techniques for electricity and water savings, protecting
the environment, inculcating habits to reduce consumptions and wastes. The
program depicts various situations followed by questions about the adequate
practices. All citizens and residents in Qatar can participate in competition through
the announced free numbers given for Ooredoo (92119) and Vodafone (98882)
customers and can win several prizes as well.
The campaign comprises several
community and awareness activities and events with the participation of a
number of Kahramaa staff and volunteers to reach all community segments and
introduce KAHRAMAA’s role and efforts to achieve its mission of providing high
quality and sustainable electricity and water for a better living in the State
It also includes visits to a number
of charities, humanitarian and social centres in the country, as KAHRAMAA
believes in the importance of social and charitable work and the importance of
intensifying the activity especially during Ramadan.
KAHRAMAA also launched an initiative for labors to recognize their
continued efforts as being partners in KAHRAMAA’s success and achievements reflected
at various projects in Qatar.
As part of the campaign, KAHRAMAA’s employees get benefited by attending
religious lectures at KAHRAMAA premises being organized to raise their
knowledge and awareness about Ramadan.
The campaign also aims to introduce
healthy habits by following a number of tips and instructions while presenting
the efforts in various areas, particularly those with regard to preserving the
environment and implementing sustainability for a better living in conformity
with Qatar National Vision 2030.
mentioning that “Getting Closer” campaign succeeded and had a great response during
its 1st edition that took place last year during Ramadan.
