Description:
The role holder is responsible for the preparation of tender documents, engineering modification proposals, design & analysis to support construction, operation and maintenance activities associated with all HVAC aspects of the Maintenance within Kahramaa.
·Assists in tenders issuance and review process that includes preparation of tender documents for new or modification proposals, revision of bids, preparation of structural design drawings, cost estimation and reporting and planning
·Provides HVAC engineering services such as site technical assessments including cost estimates, preparation of new layouts and designs
·Manages engineering consultants and supervise their performance when needed to carry out certain projects
·Reviews HVAC drawings and various documents related to new construction projects, refurbishment projects, maintenance and new contract works
·Reviews existing system design in HVAC engineering and recommends improvements
·Reviews and updates list of reference standards available in the department and raises requisitions for procurement
·Participates in assessing all HVAC Maintenance works with regard to safety of the existing plant and equipment
·Plans, organizes, coordinates and controls all HVAC maintenance activities in accordance with Kahramaa regulations, policies and procedures
·Supervises subordinates, reviews their programmes and evaluate technical issues and ensures appropriate corrective action is achieved within stipulated time.
·Assist in preparing the fiscal year budget and annual business plan of his unit, in line with section business plan
·Prepares and monitors the execution of HVAC maintenance plans to ensure highest level of performance is achieved
·Works in cooperation with Quality Assurance and Continual Improvement department on securing and maintaining the ISO 9002 certification
·Carries out and ensures the compliance of all activities within the Facilities Management Department are in-line with Kahramaa health and safety regulations
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Project management certification in preferred
- More than 7 years of relevant experience in a similar industry and/or position with minimum 4 years of relevant supervisory experience preferably in the area of HVAC engineering
