Transport Coordinator

Description:

The role holder is responsible for coordinating the transport activities with internal and external stakeholder for operation and maintenance of fleet.


Core Responsibilities:

  • Plans and leads the daily activities of transport operation to ensure deliveries
  • Collects the requirements of new vehicle and equipment request from department, end user or system request and forward for review
  • Updates Kahramaa pool vehicle movement and prepares monthly report
  • Assists Forman – Transport Operation for distribution and control of vehicles allotted to various Kahramaa departments and collects monthly data from focal points for compiling report
  • Maintains and manages all databases relating to transportation activities like insurance, road permit and fuel card expiry and coordinate for timely renewal
  • Performs data entry in AVL module for various transport activities like fuel, maintenance and history and generates report for management
  • Assists Forman – Transport Operation for preparing preventive / corrective maintenance plan & coordinates with contractor for repair
  • Ensures the inventory of emergency materials are available at all times and issues requests for new material and spare parts as per demand
  • Prepares objectives in coordination with Foreman- Transport Operation as required by Management
  • Performs other related duties as needed upon request by the immediate supervisor
  • Works in cooperation with Quality Assurance and Continual Improvement section on securing and maintain the ISO / Risk Management / ISMS certification
  • Carries out and ensures the compliance of all activities within the Department are in-line with Kahramaa health and safety regulations

    Self-Management Responsibilities:
  • Defines performance goals at the start of the year in discussion with the reporting manager and ensures that the goals are achieved during the course of the year
  • Identifies the training and development requirements for self and agrees on them with the reporting manager to ensure that the required trainings are arranged and attended
  • Keeps abreast of professional developments, new techniques and current issues through continued education and professional growth




Qualifications:

High School Certification or equivalent, preferable additional certification in Office Administration

Driving License


More than 6 years of relevant experience in a similar industry and/or position with minimum 3 years of relevant supervisory experience
