Storekeeper - Receiving

Description:

The role holder is responsible for effective and safe receiptof goods related to different departments in order to ensure smooth execution of day to day operations at Kahramaa. This role will also be responsible for maintaining an accurate record of all receving transactions in the ERP and communicate the same to relevant stakeholders. 


Core Responsibilities:

  • Examine incoming delivery notes/packing list and compare with the order copies and physical materials received. Immediately report to Supervisor - Receving if any deviation or discrepancy found.
  • Prepare/process relevant documents to and from the Receiving unit. Forward copies to the concerned departments as and when required . Also keep record files up-dated as per ISO procedure.
  • Ensures that  the receiving area is neat and tidy. Packages are stacked properly. Designate different areas for incoming materials, according to the storage conditions of materials.
  • Ensures material handling is carried out in accordance with KAHRAMAA safety standards. Equipment/tools are in order and handlers are working as instructed.
  • Maintains good time keeping and communication skills. Takes initiative, suggests new ideas/proposals for the improvement of the Receiving unit.
  • Performs other related duties as needed upon request by the Supervisor - Receiving.
  • . Any major discrepancy to be reported to Supervisor – Receving.Liaises with relevant departments to conduct material inspection in line with established quality standards.
  • Documents and records all materials under receiving process in the warehouse and ensures that quantity is reconciled with the ERP.
  • Ensures all movement of material received at warehouse is updated in the ERP and a copy of the same is forwarded to the requisite stakeholder.
  • Ensures safeguarding of warehouse operations and contents by use of appropriate security procedures and protocols.
  • .Carries out and ensures the compliance of all activities within the Department are in-line with Kahramaa health and safety regulations.

    Self-Management Responsibilites:
  • Defines performance goals at the start of the year in discussion with the reporting manager and ensures that the goals are achieved during the course of the year.
  • Identifies the training and development requirements for self and agrees on them with the reporting manager to ensure that the required trainings are arranged and attended.

Keeps abreast of professional developments, new techniques and current issues through continued education and professional growth.


Qualifications:

Diploma or equivalent in Materials/Inventory/Supply Chain


More than 6 years of experience in a similar role
