Specialist- Talent Management

Description:

The role holder is responsible for supporting the design and implementation , and continous improvement of of talent management programs. This role will be responsible on helping with talent reviews , planning for future leaders,and general employee development efforts. The goal is to build a high- performing workforce  and help achieve qatarization projects


Core Responsibilities:

  • Assists in identifying the training needs of leaders based on organizational objectives and gaps in leadership skills.
  • Conducts skills assessments using tools such as questionnaires and interviews to measure current leadership skills.
  • Assists in developing customized training plans to enhance leadership and management skills.
  • Studies requests to attend courses and conferences for directors and heads of departments
  • Maintains and updates talent-related databases, such as successions plans, high-potential employee lists, and individual development plans (IDPs).
  • Identifies key -talent and potential successors for promotion to leadership positions.
  • Assists in implementing internal training programs for managers and heads of departments, focusing on leadership and management skills.
  • Establishes clear career paths for employees to help them understand career development opportunities.
  •  Assists in providing the necessary support to the new heads of departments to ensure their success in their new roles and follow up on their performance and provide feedback to improve their performance.
  • Assists in putting various talent management programs into action. This includes helping to organize high -potential development programs, mentorship programs, and employee engagement activities.
  • Liaises with department managers, section heads to effectively drive talent initiatives.
  • Works with Senior Specialist – Talent Management to ensure programs are conducted and effectiveness of these programs is tracked and any changes, if required are implemented.
  • Prepare reports on the progress of training programs for leaders and the extent to which they achieve objectives.
  • Analyze program results and make recommendations for improvement.
  • Undertakes any responsibilities, as directed by the reporting manager in line with organizational objectives
  • Works in cooperation with Quality Assurance and Continual Improvement section on securing and maintain the ISO / Risk Management / ISMS certification
  • Carries out and ensures the compliance of all activities within the Department are in-line with Kahramaa health and safety regulations

     

    Self-Management Responsibilities
  • Defines performance goals at the start of the year in discussion with the reporting manager and ensures that the goals are achieved during the course of the year
  • Identifies the training and development requirements for self and agrees on them with the reporting manager to ensure that the required trainings are arranged and attended
  • Keeps abreast of professional developments, new techniques and current issues through continued education and professional growth



Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources / Business Administration / Psychology.  Postgraduate degree in Business Administration or HR preferred


More than 6 years of experience in Learning and Development in a similar role
