Core Responsibilities:

• Reviews existing system design and recommends improvements
• Reviews and updates list of reference standards available in the department and raises requisitions for procurement                                                                    
• Reviews and raises requisitions for technical journals                                                           
• Prepares tender documents                                    
• Reviews technical designs and other matters referred by the project team during contract execution
• Carries out actual verifications of sites wherein the proposed improvements and expansions will be executed
• Participates in necessary technical meetings and prepares correspondence and minutes to various internal and external offices in order to ensure the realization of the proposed projects as scheduled
• Develops planning & design procedures and reviews and updates planning & design procedures as required
• Monitors projects to ensure construction is consistent with the design
• Evaluates information/data from government entities on the condition of existing infrastructure necessary for preparation of drawing                                                                          
• Organizes in-house presentations to keep all the engineers abreast of the latest technology and design innovations
• Organizes presentations by external specialists for the benefit of departmental engineers
• Attends factory inspections as required by project team
• Attends Factory Acceptance Test
• Attends and witness's material production test and inspection at manufacturers
• Works in cooperation with Quality Assurance and Continual Improvement section on securing and maintain the ISO / Risk Management / ISMS certification
• Carries out and ensures the compliance of all activities within the Department are in-line with Kahramaa health and safety regulations
  
  Self Management Responsibilites:

• Defines performance goals at the start of the year in discussion with the reporting manager and ensures that the goals are achieved during the course of the year
• Identifies the training and development requirements for self and agrees on them with the reporting manager to ensure that the required trainings are arranged and attended
• Keeps abreast of professional developments, new techniques and current issues through continued education and professional growth
