Core Responsibilities:

• Liaises with relevant technical teams from various directorates, departments and sections to collect the necessary information pertaining to material requirements
• Assists Senior Engineer-Material Standard and Specification in finalization of material standards and specifications in liaison with relevant technical teams as and when required
• Reviews existing specifications and updates them, and develops a new one (whenever needed) as per the latest International standards, technology developments in the industry and established technical requirements
• Carries out and provides the necessary support in all matters pertaining to technical evaluation of tenders and prequalification for new manufacturers and factories & shortlisting vendors in addition to renewal process and validation process for qualified manufacturers and factories.
• Liaises with Kahramaa vendors to ensure complete understanding of material standards and specifications in line with established quality guidelines
• Conducts site visits and inspections to inspect and analyse the material used to ensure compliance with established standards and specifications
• Participates and provides technical advice in all matters related to material/equipment failure analysis, as and when required
• Liaises with vendors and external parties to participate in the Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) and other necessary tests of materials, as and when required
• Develops the technical reports (weekly, monthly, and annual) as required and submits the same to Senior Engineer-Material Standards and Specifications for analysis
• Works in cooperation with Quality Assurance and Continual Improvement section on securing and maintain the ISO / Risk Management / ISMS certification
• Carries out and ensures the compliance of all activities within the Department are in-line with Kahramaa health and safety regulations
  
  Self Management Responsibilites:
• Defines performance goals at the start of the year in discussion with the reporting manager and ensures that the goals are achieved during the course of the year
• Identifies the training and development requirements and ensures that the required trainings are arranged and attended
• Keeps abreast of professional developments, new techniques and current issues through continued education and professional growth
